The Arcadia Lake Trail is located in Arcadia and is one of the most popular biking trails in Oklahoma for newbie bikers. This is a six-mile back and forth trail that has many side trails that all merge so you will not get lost while on your biking adventure. These trails do not pose any challenges and make for a smooth ride for the whole family. You will pass ponds, and go through a creek, which can get deep in some parts. When it is dry out, some of the trail turns into deep sand and that can make riding rather difficult.

Lake McMurty Trails near Stillwater provide plenty of variation and challenge to the intermediate level biker. There are four trails here; each one is about eight miles long and hug the lake. One of the trails is the official racing course for the local biking club. That club along with another from Oklahoma State University keep the trail well maintained making this an excellent choice for bikers near the Oklahoma City area.

At Greenleaf State Park by Braggs, an eighteen-mile loop trail is meant for the advanced biker. This is a challenging trail with many technical parts, so get ready to face slippery rocks, extreme climbs and zooming descents along with an awesome workout. Bikers with less experience should split off at the lake, take the out and back trail to Mary’s cove.

Turkey Mountain located in Tulsa has biking trails for riders of all skill levels. Many trails begin at the top of Turkey Mountain and go off in many directions. There are a lot of steep climbs and descents in addition to the rocky terrain. Some trails offer extreme technical challenges while others are short and easier.

Bluff Creek Trail in Oklahoma City is a great place for city dwellers to make a quick getaway for some blood pumping cycling. This is a three and one half mile loop trail that is mostly single track. There is something here for everyone as this trail winds through woods and creek beds. It is not overly technical but still offers plenty of steep short climbs and descents.

Roman Nose State Park by Watonga, Oklahoma offers many biking trails that you can enjoy. Some of them are very challenging, so be prepared. There are many trails to pick from, which makes these trails ideal for bikers of all skill levels. The trails are well used, so you will not have to be concerned about getting lost. You will see lovely scenery and sometimes share these trails with hikers and horseback riders. Some of the trail is covered by the forest, while other parts go through open prairie. It is advisable to stay off the trails right after a rainfall because they get very muddy.
