The Louisiana State University is proud to be represented by the LSU Baseball Team in several competitions and tournaments. Since 1893, the LSU Baseball Team, or LSU, has represented the prestigious university in the NCCA Division I College Baseball League. Aside from this, LSU is also an active member of the West Division of the Southeastern Conference.

For years, the team has continued to gain one achievement after another. Some of the major achievements include 15 college world series and 6 national championships. The team has also produced a lot of players that have been successful and have created a name in major league baseball. Some players worth noting are Ryan Theriot, Brad Hawpe, and Mike Fontenot. All of them are former LSU players and are now significant contributors for various major league baseball teams.
